I mean, in these days, at July 2018, if it possible to save more than 300 games on mi Wii U (if there is an updated hack for example for that?)

no one would be interested in home brewing this as it’s completely niche. no ones really bothered about it.Hello snoofly, I have just read all your posts from the other thread like this.
You are talking about Hex editing the Barista file, and creating differents users.....
That sounds a little confusing and high level user skills for doing that, with a high risk of brick.......
Could you please explain step by step (like a noob guide) on how to do this for an average user of Wii U? Could there be a hombrew or program for doing that?
Thanks
To end this the short way:
It's impossible to have more than 300 icons on a homescreen for one user and this will most likely never change.
So either
- use multiple users
or- use System Config Tool to launch your games as that displays all your games (even more than 300) in a list to chose from

and sorry, there’s no other easy way than hex editing your files. it’s not plug and play but get a good hex editor and it’s doable
after all i’ve got 7 users up and running now
it’s worth it though in my mind as i’ve managed to split out loads of the VC and injections to different users
and used up another 700Gb to have 100gbs of a 2TB wiiu drive left

i messed up my edits a couple times and got a buzzing sound and stuff, needs power reboot, but i don’t think it’s brickable
but yeah, it’s doable but i had a lot of headaches getting there
key tip is to start from a barista with a certain 300 game inserted as a template otherwise if you give the system a chance to do a menu re-sort by having less than exactly 300 titles defined in the file (took me a while to find that trigger) you’re in a world of hurt.
tip 2, base your 300 template file on one without folders, find your start and end title entries and edit in the title keys as required. it’s jusr easier that way based on the way folder entries are handled.
after that you’re on your own buddy

oh last thing, make sure to backup the folder containing the baristas regularly via ftp just in case you screw up
In fact the System Config Tool is by Nintendo (not a homebrew) so you need to google it (can't share it here).Hi Lordelan, thanks for your solution. Could you explain me how to use useSystem Config Tool to launch all the games (more than 300) ???
No problem.Hi Lordelan, thanks for your solution. Could you explain me how to use useSystem Config Tool to launch all the games (more than 300) ???
That could be the best bet for this situation for us who have many games.
I got the idea that it is impossible that the Wii U show more than 300 icons for a user (for hardware/memory/RAM reasons).
(This thread is not about why users have too many games, reasons are multiple).
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for you explanation. I think hex editing the Barista file is a little kind of difficult stuff to do for an average user like me, and could even cause a partial brick on the Wii U.
Thanks for your comments.
In fact the System Config Tool is by Nintendo (not a homebrew) so you need to google it (can't share it here).
But it can be installed with WUP Installer GX2 once you've found it.
It displays all installed titles in a list (even over 300) from which you can launch them then.
No you don't have to use a redNAND at all (never did that).Hi Lordelan:
I just googled it, but it says that is has to be installed in redNAND, is that correct?
And it says that it has the potencial to brick the Wii U if it is installed.
Could you bring more information on how installing it without risk of bricking the Wii U?
I just have CBHC and nothing more installed on my Wii U. I have the WUP Installer GX2.
No you don't have to use a redNAND at all (never did that).
Look for it at some d*r* u*b*a site *hint* *hint* and be sure to install that with WUP Installer GX2 to your internal memory.
I won't get any clearer here. If you're unable to follow the hints, go over to PMs.
To what is this an answer? Last reply was from 2021.Get a 2nd hard drive and move your games to that. That's what I did and it works. no need to delete games. just move them over.
I wonder how many Wii U will be left fully function in its original form by that time.10 or 15 years from now
If someone else is going to resurrect this, people have this insatiable urge to dictate what others do. I don't get it either. I like options. But more than anything, I like that ability to have ANY game I want at my disposal. But even more importantly, when having friends over for game night, being able to offer any game they desire is a great feeling. So fuck off with people saying you don't need x amount of games. It's the same with people saying you don't need a 1tb sd card for 3ds. Fuck off, I'll put as many games on my 3ds as possible if I want to.I never understood why people have to try to shame people who are trying to build a collection of games. Answer the question or fuck off. And, by the way, thats too many games, your a game hoarder, not a answer to the question.
actually there is a good reason to install a lt of games: the install times are atrocious. I rather install the most amount of games and have them ready to play instead of having to constantly install and uninstall stuff thereDelete games you don't play. There's no reason to have that many especially on WiiU and no, you can't bypass it.
