lol, just melt the screws man! ha

lol - I'd probably mess that up !!!

No rush, they only cost £1.50 and I am in no particular hurry to get it fixed.

Well there are threewing screws on the original one, you'll need a threewing screwdriver..
£1.50 is way too cheap, they are at least 7 times expensive here... and those are not originals...
If I were you I would have smashed it to a wall to crack it open

I downloaded this and burned it straight to DVD with IMGBurn. When I put it in, it didn't autoboot directly, which I thought was a little odd. I pressed A to get past the health warning and my system menu showed up for less than half a second before it gave me a black screen. Even with the Starfall rescue mode it just gave me a black screen. What's the issue here?

I only did one thing: I replaced one file in the ISO. I didnt do anything else. That shouldn't have done anything major. If you try it once, then I will know for sure whether or not it will work on all firmwares.

EDIT:

What I'm trying to say is: Prove me wrong that the disc will still work.
(Thats what I'm hoping for.)

i want to try it, but i have no blanks..

im going to download it anyways in hopes of success.

so in theory, this iso autoboots the .wad manager 1.3 so that you could delete the corrupted .wad?

i wouldnt need to use savemii or anything like that?

Didn't you trucha sign the partition? How do you expect it to work at all if you didn't? And if you did indeed trucha signed then it won't work on 3.3 with a trucha fixed ios...

Black screen is normal, does it displays 3.2U in the downright corner? The original autoboot iso posted in this thread may be faulty... Sure a proper autoboot disc should boot on systems with minor glitches like system menu tries to display channels but got freezed unlike the case it detects something wrong and displays an error....
