How to hide the CBHC icon from the home menu

DISLAIMER: I know it's a bit useless, but it could be useful for people who can't live with a DONT TOUCH ME icon on their menu.

I've discovered that yesterday, it allows you to hide any icon (even folder) on your wii u, but it's just interresting for the CBHC icon.
This method uses the Wii U 's bonus page feature (when you filled a lot of your homemenu)

I can't guarantee you will get this method to work thought. I will explain how i managed to so let's get started,

  1. Create a folder in the bottom left corner of the last page & put CBHC in the bottom left corner of this folder.
  2. You need to create a lot of folders & reach the limit.
  3. A new page will appear, Place the CBHC folder in it.
  4. Delete all the folders you've made before.
  5. The bonus page should disappear with you CBHC icon.
If you want to get your icon back, just recreate the folders until you reach the limit again.
However, you won't be able to do it again (i think since it happened to me) because the page won't be able to disappear a second time.

This little trick worked for me but i'm stuck with the bonus page since i recreated the folders. :(
i hope this technique worked for you. (Even if i don't think it's useful)
If someone knows a way to make the new page disappear again, i will like to know (Personnaly, i don't care since i'm forgetting the icon but for the ones who hates to have the CBHC tile on their menu)

you can get around the icon/text by copying the cbhc game rather than moving it. it will show up with its original artwork/text after installing cbhc. mine still says redNAND with a redNAND logo, so I can just use it like I normally would if I were to uninstall cbhc. I believe the image and text won't revert back if you moved the game.

I know it's a bit useless but you don't know maybe there is one person on the earth who uses CBHC but hates having an icon slot occupied by CBHC or hates having one slot less...

the extra page sadly didn't disappear after deleting all the folders. Shame, seemed like a great little trick if it would've worked.
Did you created the extra page before? You can only do it once else the page won't disappear... (Happened to me, Sadly i don't know how to make it disappear a second time)

I say copy the game, then drop it into the homebrew folder. I just learned recently that you can load the homebrew launcher with it by holding B I believe.

Nothing bad, but it'll sometimes do some glitchy things like white-screen. Just opening it won't do anything bad.
and what actually happens if I click on the coldboot application on my wii u's home menu?
It won't do anything bad... But don't do it thought because sometimes the wiiu crashes (you just need to hold the power button...) or sometimes it just reboots CBHC normally...

anyone can confirm this to work? i fear that my nephew accidentally do something terrible if i install cbhc
As long as you don't delete it or in some way make the app...be bad, then you have nothing to worry about. v1.6 blocks the Data Management from deleting it and also doesn't allow the Haxchi installer to install a different Haxchi over it.
Attempting to open the CBHC app from the home menu will simply result in a harmless white screen (just hold down the POWER button on the console for 4 seconds).

It depends of your luck...
But CBHC won't harm your Wii U at all... The only bad things you can do is install CBHC on the wrong place... (If the icon doesn't disappear for you, even if you launch it you only get a reboot or a white/black/glitchy screen who can be closed if you restart your console...)

Please note: Only the hide cbhc icon method is based on luck... The CBHC installation works everytime if you listen to the instructions correctly...

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
